Still Night

I look out and see it's still Night

I look at the floor and realize that my shadow comes from the moon's light

Wishing I was who I used to be, happy and bright

Looking around, I forget.. it's still Night

Look into my eyes and feel my pain

Scars on my heart stick like a stain

It's hard to see the sun when all you see is rain,

Look at me and see that... it's still Night

I tell you I'm fine

But you know that I'm lying

Seeing your smile is what keeps me from dying,

Look into my eyes and see how much inside I'm crying

I wipe my tears away, and realize... it's still Night.

A single light will show me where to go,

I follow and where it takes me I'll never know.

Tired, numb, and empty is what I feel

I don't want to believe this is real

But I look around hoping for the light...

Only to realize, it's still night...
