An Ode to Walking With Someone Else

Tip-Tap, Tip-Tap,

on the floor.

Tip-Tap, Tip-Tap,

to the sea shore.

He walks before me,

to the side,

he runs away.

Nowhere to hide.

We walk this way

four days a week,

the other three,

play hide and seek.

I pull him in

to keep him near,

someone is there.

I feel his fear.

Once we're home,

he need not hide,

but cuddle up to my left side.

We walked today,

we both were strong.

Tomorrow, I can prove him wrong.
