Stay Strong, Little Sapling
When life beats you down, stand up and kick its butt.
You're surrounded by those stronger, taller, ALIVE
But keep in mind that not one of them had it easy
They've encountered winds strong enough to tear them apart
Quakes that shook the ground they stood on
They endured bitter cold and blazing suns that threatened to break them completely
And yet, they prospered
They fed from the rains of depression and thrived from them
They grew from the quakes of anxiety and stood tall
They broke free from the confines that once tried to kill them
And
They
Flourished
So stay strong little sapling
For you are stronger than that which tries to break you
You're taller than the demons trying to destroy you
You're better for what you've gone through
And every hour, every minute, every second
You grow
And maybe, just maybe
There's a sprout looking to you for guidance
As you do to those who surround you

But not in vain
