Stardust

The universe isn't that lonely.

The light of day is what keeps one sane

Very few know, what keeps them from the rain

The city takes for granted what it has

But not I,

I see the sun sitting high

Bringing such warmth right from the sky

The sun, she sits so eloquently bright

I miss her immensely when it turns to night

The sun, she gives life and strength to my fallen dreams

On sunny days I breathe her in,

On rainy days I hold my breath,

Thinking and wondering with my chest

She runs deep,

Runs until her rounding rays reach roses

Deep enough to roam the corals of my oceans

Until they’re blooming with color and commotion

This star is strong

She does wonders with no demands

Simply wants to love and be loved without fear of loss

But I’ll love her till the day she turns to stardust

Giving any less would be tremendously unjust

I love seeing her first thing in the morning

And I adore watching her set at night

This most gracious star of the nebulon

She’s all I need

I’ll never leave

And I’ll always be here till dawn
