Starlight's broken tapestry
Ancestral delights
Upon mortal broken soul
it shines down
like a blight.
And although the heart
so weary in the night
trying its hardest
may never get it right.
The aches and pain
The never wanting ashes.
Scars and age.
Withering away,
love lost under phage.
Time the cruelest master
yet waves a hand
and turns another page.
Oh where hath
the tale gone?
where doth
the smile gauge?
oh whereth is thine
happy ending
in this nightmare's rage?
Songs of longing sorrow
sung
float now upon the wind
clocks tick by
and I know that I have sinned.
A stain
a tear
upon the glass
the windows
calling eyes
look back upon a past
weeping by and by.
The beat of heart
now lays ever still.
For nothing
drives it now
and nothing again
ever will
