Spell of Lies

Failure in Which We Experience

How many pages do you need to turn

How many candles do I need to burn

The wick is getting smaller as I get older.

She tries to seduce me,

Brings me closer in as she hinges

Onto me as my wife stands there

Seeing everything it’s just not

Right.

How many pages do you need to turn

How many candles do I need to burn

The wick is getting smaller as I get older.

Innocence tries to flow deep within

Until she soaks me completely infecting

My mind taking what’s mine.

How many pages do you need to turn

How many candles do I need to burn

The wick is getting smaller as I get older.

She whispers my name keeping me trapped

In the darkness of her sorrow-

As I fall deeper into her spell of lies.

How many pages do you need to turn

How many candles do I need to burn

The wick is getting smaller as I get older.
