Soul-Mates

Words come...

Words come

Slicing my thoughts

"I must remember,

Remember what this,

This could ever mean."

A rose.

Blood red

Fragranting the night sky.

Glowing

As if I was meant to see it.

"Was it a sign?"

The wind sings

Whispering in my ears

"What does it mean?"

My thoughts came in picture

Sealed with the kids of life

I gasp

Forever locked away.

The moon shines on a face

A face

So beautiful

So perfect

So . . . wrong.

This face did not belong in this time

Closer, closing the space between us.

The face appears young

His eyes sing a different song

Giving him away.

I gawk

He sees

Recognition crosses my face

He mimicks the note

I... Know... Him

Somehow?

Just seeing him

A deep longing floods my chest

He's mine...

Forever...

Giving a sense of belonging

A home

To finally call my own.
