Sorry

When Sorry Isn’t Good Enough

I tried one last time

One ounce of courage was all that was left

I poured out my heart at your mercy

But it wasn’t enough

My desperate cries for your help are mute

I can feel your pity as your eyes devour my weakness

“Sorry”

You offer the single word that will never help.

“Sorry” means you actually care

But they way you used it was so unfair

“Sorry you aren’t worth the effort,” “Sorry your heart is too broken to fix,” “Sorry I don’t want to be the one to fix what I broke.”

Your “Sorry” just won’t cut it
