Songs of the Looking Glass
Once Was Requested to Help Convey Someone's Feelings, This Is My Interpretation of Worrying All Your Good Is Behind You...Be It Never the Case
Stagnate?
Dissipate?
Age’s gate
Emboldens the late…
Oh how great
Are moments that determined fate;
Now naught but ripples; mem’ry’s wake.
Unclear,
spare viewing rear,
Is the good in life, the standings and state.
This unknown forgone
By the repeating dawn
Of mind's need to share its take:
Halls once empty, now filled to the brim.
Not one treasure with want to skim,
Each brick an heirloom, forged within.
Bricks lay’ring the soul,
Piecing one whole;
Weathered and tarnished, pit'fully cajoled
By we, the forgotten and sold…
By we within the formidable grasp
Of believing all shimmered, luster lacks,
We victim, now, to siren looking glass;
That one’s comfort and valor, the shine shone, pertinent passed,
As the consonant melody leaves sanity dashed.
...yet the unknown is where we lost be destined to go,
Lest, obliterated, expired, becomes the divine beating tone.
How to thrive; how to see what could be formed from the mould,
If so smitten by glass’ glimmer, you want not glance the road?
