"You were my dream last night."

You were my dream last night, and I'm scared to go to sleep.I have a pillow in my hand, but I'm scared to count the sheep.

I'll see the ways you used to lay,Remembering the things you used to say.

Did it really have to end, or did I give up too soon? These questions haunt me. Do they keep you up too?

For a moment I am free, my mind wandering in the sea.Pray to God that it will last, laying stuck within my past.

Sleep can be my sweet release, from these thoughts that deafen. But how can I let you go? The only ache I'll ever know?

I wish I could fly, but I'd wake up weeping,I wish I could sail, but I'm scared of sleeping.
