Someone called me friend today,

all I could do was smile.

To think, I made a friend today.

It's been a little while.

Someone called me dumb today,

I didn't know what to say.

I would ask my new friend for help,

but they said it yesterday.

Someone called me a slut today,

for a moment I tried to disagree.

"I know it's not true," I said,

but they had already planted a seed.

Someone called me, me today.

I wanted to break into tears.

The me I know is not okay,

and hasn't been in years.
