Sewn Mouth to Hide the Truth

The light of technology blooms onto one’s face

From being excluded after so many to finally being wanted

Celebration is what one would call after every year on a specific day

Yet the actions and the mesmerizing glare to the toxins they consume

Two must had to flee before it was late to what they then would be

Asking for rides, leading to a cab, where travel was too long when it could have been quick

Arriving unknown to strangers in the back

With the flames as high as themselves

Examining those around in the shivering cold consuming toxins yet enough but still to remember

Alone as one as the other was with companion

Targeted, seen, watched, afraid to stay

One after another gone as the stars above

As those who went upstairs to yell and scream

Staying below where to be unseen

In the squeezing sensation of warmth and protection

Too odd as the warmth disappeared as a blizzard came at full force

Trying to run the wind choked me under to fall

Reaching, crawling screaming with fear that took it all

Looking for the light which has then switched to disappear

Pushing the ice, wind, and snow trying to break free

The hail protruded through the eyes not to see

Felt so low

The stars watched through the storm and told no soul

Lying there

Part of life was not a rip but a tear

As the last breath of the cold air

Calling for help not able to breathe

Someone heard then came to rescue

Not told of what happened to keep one out of harm

Scared to say to not know whom it was

Quiet on the travels through the windy night of cold air

As all colors turn into one barley to see but to glare

Small glow lays beneath like a lighter flame

To find out it's on its last flow

Surrounded by darkness

To cry with no tears

Gone, yet alive

In this reality of fear
