Seven Billion People. Fourteen Billion Faces.

Seven billion people // fourteen billion faces.

We bend down to help only to have someone untie our laces.

We are masters of unsaid words but slaves of those we let slip out.

Our world isn’t perfect, rather laced with fear, betrayal, and doubt.

There are many who give without a thought. Who try and warn those getting tricked.

But advice not taken is wasted. Those who offer too much, their promises contradict.

We all have goals we dream to achieve. Different people we aspire to be.

We walk down the road alone at the end of day; for paths do not merge forever. We go our separate ways.

Yes we’re greedy. Yes we’re weak.

No we’re not worthless. For our flaws make us unique.

You see the problem we face is that wiser people hesitate.

And those who know nothing act like they run the place.

So prove those who put you down.

Tuck away your worries high up the shelf.

They have no right to tell you who to be. You define yourself

All of us are so afraid of falling that we do not climb.

Tell me.

When did you last do something for the first time?
