For the Young 'nd Hopeless

So, what’s it gonna be?

So, what’s it gonna be?

A lawyer? A doctor? You need a degree

Society won’t wait for you or for me,

So, what’s it gonna be?

Pay homage to the leaders, the non institutionalized, the “free.”

this world was not meant for you or for me

Still we, load up on microwave noodles, bottled waters and debt,

Oh, You want to be an artist? Let’s paint the town red!

But then it’s back to your books, back in your head

we're millennials, out of touch

Entitled and a little buzzed

We march through the streets, With our iPhones, and Androids clutched

We just want peace, Don’t shoot! Hands up!

The world is falling around us, I think I’m going insane

“Well back in my day,” you’re fighting my pain with your pain?

Our oceans are toxic, our air is barely breathable,

If you let them, they’ll load you up on bullshit, and tell you it’s edible

But we’re millennials, something ain’t right with us

Bicentennials, cause there’s an old soul inside of us

You can try, but won’t dim the light, that resides in us

Now,

I’ll ask you again, once more, very clear

So, what’s it gonna be?

It’s just you and us, right here...
