You saved me from a world of darkness,
You stayed with me,
Even when I cried and screamed,

Whenever I came home,
You'd make this noise of overwhelming delight,
You'd pick up a toy knowing I'd always play fetch with you,
It's like fate put us together,
It's just now is the time to shut your eyes tight,
A sight I never wanted to see,
Not only was you my best friend,
My companion,
My soul,
You were everything I needed and wanted,
