So Long

So long I have been floating in this ocean,

dark and deep, yet so peaceful.

This love has been the sunset, always beautiful,

always fading from the dark.

You don't know how slow the sun really goes down.

You are the sun that I wait for through the night.

But then came daylight savings time,

and the sun found a new star.

So long I have waited for the sun to arise,

but it never showed.

So long I have waited.

I am done waiting.

Now I have found the land.

I will remember the sun.

No longer will I search for it.

No longer will I float.

I will learn to walk in the dark.

So long I waited.

So long, I am done.

So long.
