So Far off in the Distance

A Blink

Riding the rails

Prepared for lift off

Let the countdown begin

Defy the chains of gravity

Soaring past the stars

Looking down on home

Smaller and smaller

Burning through the atmosphere

So far off in the distance

Just a tiny speck

A blink, unrecognizable

To a place where

Distance means nothing

Time doesn't exist

Only space, abundant space

Back on some rails

Brace for this landing

Screeching breaks to a halt

So vibrant you can see the whistle

Breathtaking outer space paradise

Luscious golds and greens

Crisp blues and reds

Radiating unearthly energy

Melting a soft presence

Into the night

A rhythmic congregation

Emitting an immense freedom

Freedom of thought, of

Motion, of space and passion

Rising up and around

In marvelous rays of light.
