Snapshots

Compassion is gone.

She snaps, she shoots,

She wins, just to lose.

Where do they get these warped point of views?

Where’s the humanity, where’s the care?

This fucked up society has little to spare.

Who matters? Who doesn’t?

Who was there? Who wasn’t?

Why does it matter?

Snapshots of pain,

but we argue the blame.

Why does it matter, we’re all just the same.

Why do we get to decide

Who’s worth the time?

Is it self-inflated pride?

Snapshots of sorrow,

But our time here is borrowed.

Tell them “time to do better tomorrow.”

Yet you cover your eyes.

It’s their own problem now.

Do you realize how fucking selfish that sounds?

Wait till you need it, and no one’s around.

Stand all day and debate right versus wrong,

Then turn around and spew all the “stay strongs”

But the only real fact is, compassion is gone.
