Sleepless

Nightmare

It comes in my dreams,

Almost every night,

Makes it hard to sleep at night,

Almost in every recurring dream I have,

Even when my dreams are going great,

Inside my head, there it is,

This sinister shadow,

Appears out of NOWHERE,

Tall and dark,

I can't make out the face though,

Or even if it is a woman or a man,

It is too hard to place,

The feeling I get from this,

Even in my dreams,

Leaves me rattled,

I've tried to switch in my dream,

To a happier place,

But it won't work,

This thing it is still here,

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I want to scream out,

Without fear, it gets closer to me,

Leaving me trembling,

I'm so scared,

But it never answers me,

Its body twitches,

As if it's laughing at me,

So this is my recurring NIGHTMARE,

Good luck falling asleep.
