Sleep Damnation

To tune of "East Jesus Nowhere" by Green Day.

Sell your kidneys for a passing grade,

Our intellect is our crusade,

Of caffeine highs and hearts decayed,

An apocalypse of living zombies!

(You! Are!) Your own future.

(Don’t! Stop!) Spots are fewer.

(Climb! Up!) Atop mountains.

(Live! For!) Celebration!

Bust your ass before it’s too late,

Beat the system at its own game,

You won’t have to walk it all alone,

In this world we’re not our own!

You can’t make me bow down,

You need more than sleep damnation!

You’ll see me stick around,

And wipe my ass with expectations!

Oh, save my soul from midterm stress,

It’s been forever since I’ve last known sleep.

But I love my time in the trenches of academic Hell,

Now watch me claw my way up with finesse.

Bust your ass before it’s too late,

Beat the system at its own game,

You won’t have to walk it all alone,

In this world we’re not our own!

You can’t make me bow down,

You need more than sleep damnation!

You’ll see me stick around,

And wipe my ass with expectations!

Just try me….

Justify me….

Don’t cheat me….

You. Can’t. Contain me!

I wanna know who’s up here with me,

The sleep-deprived who refuse to leave,

The scholars who can bite bullets,

And the kids who can’t seem to quit it!

You can’t make us bow down,

You need more than sleep damnation!

You’ll see us stick around

Now kiss our ass with patience…

YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!
