show me the light,
show me the way
light up they sky with the dreams I gave away
show me the love
show me my needs
show me everything that lives in me.
somewhere I lost myself within myself
I lost my voice, my heart, my passion
I lost the tick that makes my heart beat
I lost the boom that makes my blood flow.
I got caught up in the world around me
trying to please those who surround me
when I got on my own, I didn't know how to be alone
I didn't know how to be a man because I was used to feeding off of someone else's hands.
so I say this loud and say this proud
if there is a heavenly father then hear me now
show me the light
show me the way
light up the sky with dreams and talent I threw away
show me the love
show me my needs
I am giving my life to you
just show me.

It is hardly debatable that the world has always been run by a bunch of aging dinosaurs, mostly male, who refuse to allow the younger generation to bring about changes. Politicians and leaders everywhere refuse to release the reigns of creativity and leadership until they are dead or dying. It is time to give the young a chance to revolutionize and change the entire landscape of their existence. Those of us with one foot in the grave, so to speak, should wake up and realize that we are not the ones who will be living in the world in the years to come.
