A Dark but Glittery Poem

Sparkle sparkle

Your glitter heart shines

But your soul is littered

Damaged and resigned

Let it go

Because no one knows

The darkness you hold

You'll give it away

Before you begin to fade

Shiny little light

It's glowing inside you

But it hides

Learn to let it out

You can ignore your doubt

Let the darkness leave

You can still dream

As the dust begins to fade

That scintillating glow

It's glimmering bright

Let it all out

And you'll be safe

In the cocoon of night

Where the bats fly

And the vampires bite

But your soul is free.
