SHE'S NOT THERE ANYMORE

She's not there anymore

she thinks Mr. Jones still lives next door

She's not there anymore

Her life was rich and now it's poor

She's not there anymore

Doctors tried but there is no cure

She's not there anymore

Everyday feels like a chore

She's not there anymore

Thinks she's still in the war

You're not here anymore

Expecting granddad to walk through the door

You're not here anymore

But we all know you still love us for sure

You're not here anymore

In the same room with the same decor

You're not here anymore

But You'll remember me i am sure

You're not here anymore

But you're still my nan forevermore

This poem was inspired my nan, who suffers from dementia.
