She Ate Him

A Poem

She ate him.

He was vast, truly

sodden with

juice.

Fresh, clustered

vibrancy.

He adorned the

Fruit bowl.

He kept his root

And he glistened

Deep swollen violet

jewel

She devoured him.

Bit down through the

tight purple skin and he

burst.

And she loved him too much

Her organs swam in his

regal juices.

She grew.

Cavernous she grew

Her limbs tumescent

Her skin stippled blue

He possessed her, he

was missing and

he loved her too much.

And it weighed her down

it did this consequence

this-

Echo for hunger

Nearly killed her.

She nearly burst for him.
