She can't sleep at night because she loves talking to the moon
She can hide behind a smile better than the Joker himself
She can fall apart but you will never see
She will panic and lose her shit but you would never know
She will fake that everything's alright and you will believe it
Why?
Because she's an actress
She has taught herself to hide
She has trained herself to keep the truth to herself
She hides everything inside herself, letting the darkness grow
She can't hold on forever
She can't take another hit
This darkness inside her is growing
It's beginning to consume her
She wants to cry out for help but she doesn't know how
She is falling apart
Can't you see?
That this she is Me

It Only Took One Minute.......
It only took a minute. I was sitting at the computer in my office when the phone rang. I picked up the receiver and then laid it down my desk as I went to find the student who the call was for. Within seconds I was back at my desk, ready to resume typing, when I heard the student yelling obscenities at me for listening in to his call through the handset that was still lying on the desk. Sick and tired of the lies he was spewing, I was up running down the hall, ready to kill him. By the time I reached him, I had calmed enough not to hurt him, but as I turned back towards my room, I knew that I couldn’t go on like this any longer. The decision was clear. I had to leave.

A CLOSE ENCOUNTER
Stars twinkled brightly in a moonless sky, reflecting in the calm waters of Lake George in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York. It was a warm August night, as we laid back in the boat, marveling at the magnificent Milky Way. Dark skies made the stars more brilliant at this time of year, especially during a new moon, causing wonder and enchantment. We never tired of stargazing while floating on water, a truly immersive experience.
