Shattered Mirror

"Without Looking at an Image of Terror"

I look in the shattered mirror.

And I try to see myself,

Without looking at an image of terror.

The reflection I see is like a wolf.

I try to forget the scars that I left,

And the blood that I painted on myself.

In my heart, I'm a broken handcraft,

I try to achieve their beauty standards,

But, instead I destroyed my precious gift.

Behind the shattered mirror are flashcards,

Flashcards that will put the glass together again.

I hope to see many beautiful hummingbirds.

One day the backgrounds will no longer rain,

Instead, I will be able to see a beautiful rainbow.

How long do I isolate myself in my cabin?

In my mirror, there is a tall, thin shadow.

It is an enemy to me, but a friend to my mirror.

It forces me to break my clear and clean window.

I look in the shattered mirror,

And I try to fix the shattered mirror.

Without looking at an image of terror.
