Sharing Christmas

A Poem

Once again it's that time of year

When the world is filled with holiday cheer

Bright colors are hanging on the Christmas tree

Garland and tinsel for all to see

Twinkling lights with a star on top

Children behaving, hoping Santa will stop

There's presents to wrap and songs to sing

We wait for this day and the joy that it brings

But there are people who won't be feeling the magic

And Christmas for those, is a time that is tragic

For they have no family or friends to care

They are all alone, with no joy to share

So remember the feeling of this special day

And try to spread some love their way

Show them that the world can be a friendly place

And try to put a smile... upon a stranger's face

Christmas is a time for sharing

Laughing, loving, hugging, and caring

So have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year too

Make it a joyous occasion for others... and the spirit will come to you
