Shadow

They are everywhere

in a corner or in front of things

but the one that scares me, is right behind me.

she never leaves me, taunting,

following me everywhere I go.

We are the same from head to toe

but, she has no face, her image filled with darkness

Iwonder if she feels what I feel,

see what I see, is she the woman

I wish to be.

She knows everything, my past, my secrets

I want her to go away

but then I'll be alone

see she's the only one I can rely on

the only true friend that I have

like everyone else has, She hasn’t left me.

she stays close by my side

always reminding me

I’m stuck with her for forever and eternity.
