Shadow

Story of a Lost Life

I'm not a person but yet a shadow. A figment hidden behind the blaring spotlight aiming for the rest of the world.

I try not to speak as I do not want to hinder my position and so I stumble, I fall, I fail, I tumble, I break.

I am a story so painful that if it were to be uttered it would make a waterfall stream from your eyes. Silence and invisibility are key otherwise when I am struck by light I break.

I am the provider of the props and displays needed for your life to be performed however you barely notice.

I am the provider of your nourishment and deliver the outstanding critique views in order for your play to continue.

You may think that I were selfless and you the most selfish uncaring monsters although you may not understand that those roles are reversed. If it weren't for you I would be dead. See without the light the shadow can no longer exist.

Without you, I would not be here.
