Secret Tears

A love poem

By Zane AustinPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Thoughts of you come and go

As surely as the pages on a calendar

Our hands clasped in the moonlight

A kiss in the spring sun

A voice in the morning

A mind aligned with my own

Gestures of romance with no expense spared

Warmth beyond any frosty night

A face and radiance like an angel

Tears ever on my pillow in the evening,

Not tears of sadness, mind you,

Joy,

Profound penetrating happiness,

Perhaps, more than I ever deserved

Like diamonds falling in starlight

For the passion of her, I shed tears

For gratitude, I cry,

So gentle is it all

So comforting is this feeling

There could never be another like it.
