Seasons by Latrice Handy Jones

Winter never works for me

Forever alone and cold

I fear this is my destiny

Future visions of growing old

Spring brings a ray of hope

As all things old are new

Forever longing for his touch

But only if it’s true

Summer is full of endless dreams

Warm nights and mellow rains

If all else fails I’ll take a walk

My way to mask my pain

Fall sneaks upon me once again

All things new are now old

I’m never deceived by the scenery

All that glitters is not gold

So now I wait in solitude

For the rotation to start again

My mission is not in vain

Because the seasons never end
