North Lake, Tahoe
Each curl blown back by a cool autumn breeze,
She's running, toes sifting through each green blade,
The cool autumn air brings her back to ease,
As she lets go of each mistake she's made.
She's growing; not in a physical way,
Her mind is stretching, her life is changing,
Fresh ground beneath her, she decides to stay,
It's time for her to stop rearranging.
In front of her lies a dandelion,
She picks it up to make a wish and think,
Her stars are aligning as they have for Orion,
She exhales; the flower starts to unlink.
Each petal drifts, carried by the cool breeze.
She looks ahead, success is all she sees.
