Scribbles

Fight for a Life

I look down at the lifeless women

Her blonde hair up

In a tight bun

How her hair managed to stay perfect, I would not know

Her skin was ashen and as I looked closely,

I saw these scribbles

They looked like words

I looked at her grey eyes that were no full of light

I could feel the pain from the slight touch of her skin

She had called for help and had protected her only love

Her son

No one made it in time

To save her life

But, they saved the son

I look at the words

It was her façade wearing off

All that she hid and took was all for her son

Her husband tore her apart and was going after their son

She clawed and fought for the only light in her life

She would not go down until her son was safe

Her story so true and her heart so pure

This mask has now fallen apart
