Scattered

A Poem

My mind is all over the place.

Deep down, I'm an enigma,

I merely try, so desperately,

To kill off, inside me, this awful stigma.

The brain is like a puzzle,

It feels like mine's missing pieces,

Which is a strange struggle.

Time goes by too fast,

It scares me a little,

For the thought that nothing may last.

I wish to go back,

To those carefree days,

But realizing something I lack.

The world heads to the future,

It's obvious, isn't it?

With all of its desperate consumers.

Sometimes, one just doesn't listen to reason,

They do as they please but stop in time,

It is, against themselves, an inner treason.

When living somewhere that is not a city,

A place that can be dull and shallow instead of pretty,

You start to feel, to yourself, pity.

You start feeling mad,

But at the same time you're sad,

So you show nothing.

Amusement is the key,

But you find it in the world,

When the bad happens at least.

All I do is listen,

To the beat in my brain,

To the point I act strange.
