Scars

Mama Africa

Our ebony skin was indeed pulchritudinous and absolute paragon, but to the rest of the world, it was nothing more than ignominious

Our African skin was ostentatious as it was a vibrant and radiant as the sun itself, but that never stopped you guys from emasculating our skin, which then led to the scars on our once proud African skin

The ebony skin that stirred such rancour that you guys thought to seek out and destroy — it was the skin in which we were borne with

We cried — mama Africa cried — our skin cried as the whips commenced — as the whips pierced through our skin

Through that skin, the blood seeped through the cracks of those scars as they flowed down like the Nile River

Through that skin, the blood seeped through the cracks, which then poured itself into the Nile River, where the blood of all the innocent flowed down along the same course and ridges as those scars
