Sun rays lay on us comfortably
In parks and buses
Even windows can't distinguish the bond
Between body and heat.
Our hearts move in sync with the love for dogs
Running freely
And the birds chirping
And the bees floating
Around our naked feet.
Malibu sits in the rivers in our stomachs
Warm and sweet,
A great treat,
Until a gargle lets us know that we must eat.
Notes buzz into our ears from close by
And steam from barbecues dance into our noses.
The only thing that most of us would change
Is our salty skin. Yet,
This moment cannot be beat.
