I am in love with Sadness.
She makes me feel so alive.
The way she smiles at me
When I catch a glimpse of her in the mirror.
She whispers in my ear
When we are alone.
I can feel her kiss my neck
In a crowded room.
Her lips are cold, but familiar.
They send chills down my spine.
One night, I went out.
Everyone crowded around Happiness;
Even I stole a glance at her.
She smiled, but I looked away.
Sadness crept up on me
While I mingled with Guilt.
“Do you love me?” she asked.
“Of course I do.”
I would die for her,
Though she would not do the same for me.
