Saviour That Arises Righteously

Artwork by Belle Deese

by the water dark and blue

dancing in the shadows view

where Delilah whispered to the land

the throne she apropos to command

held in grasps oh so tightly

not one came to be thy knightly

standing near the longest shore

audacious for so much more

strangers wandered from all ‘bout

bottomless tales filled with doubt

seekers coming from afar

finding hidden truths in Star

she told an altered shade of grey

a cryptic plague they must slay

drowned in trenchant hypocrisy

denied such alluring prophecy

the light blazing not too bright

subaqueous into the night

waves crashed against the bank

drawn out by the crank

houses and castles stood tall

inside adumbrated brawls

wholes drifting apart

skilled masters of the art

squandering thoughtless lies

breaking bonded allies

ones alike assimilated

the truth as once illustrated

the waters turning still and dark

showing the path on which we’ve embarked

dragging our feet on this climb

rain forced feet with perfect time

minds running barbaric

panic-stricken like child

clouds raging a heavenly storm

cries caterwauling out of norm

lightning seizing out the truth

no, give nor take of innocents

Stars fighting far and near

no second glancing fear

daughter of Concord ladyship

the seas playing as a battleship

warrior marks, the highest count

nix billow she will surmount

obscurity looming at life’s threshold

bone cracking, soon shiver shaking cold

luminescent heat

terror has been beat

an ever onerous strife

dangling in the balance of life

by the water dark and blue

dancing in the shadows view

where Delilah whispered to the land

the throne she disavowed to manned

held in grasps oh so slightly

our Star came to be thy knightly
