When You Add It All up You'll See That It's a Numbers Game

When you add it all up you'll see that it's a numbers

Game,

How about one last equation right before the numbers

Change?

We were meant to grow, just not too

Fast,

We were meant to be, just not meant to

Last.

Some needles aren't sharp enough to hide in the

Hay,

You were the one that got away because you got in

The way.

Do we really want more? Or are we just unhappy with

Less,

Save your best for the worst, it's the cursed we always

Bless.

You asked to go in reverse, so who's really

Backing out?

If I don't participate in the drama would you say I'm

Acting out?

Misguided, but I can withstand the temptation to

Get lost,

Un-wrinkling great ideas that get tossed.

The lewd switch is on, they're asking where do I

Get off?

Before you throw me under this bus aren't you going to ask where I

Get off?

You knew I would rub off, that's why you asked me to stand

By you,

Do I have the strength to reverse the current current in this

Bayou?

If you're not willing to sell then tell me what I can

Buy you,

Friends leaping from bridges doesn't insinuate that I may

Try too.

It's not the destination but more about the trip over,

More about the consistent stumbles? Or what we

Trip over.
