Sleep, sleep
Mind without color;
Be still, the cradle rocks.
Peace, peace
The world still slumbers
On the breaths of lonely stars.
The ceiling blurs, wide eyes, bright pearls
Unblinking in blackness,
Waiting, waiting for dawn.
Sleep, sleep
Mind so restless;
Crumbling depths in oceans of thought.
Whirl, whirl
Wind of the sleepless,
A sigh of impatience
To the deaf god of night.
Dear one, sleep brings peace.
Sleep brings promise to impossible dreams.
Sleep, sleep
Head sink through substance;
Sink the self of the dreamer's soul.
Dream, dream
Sleep's metronome ticks
To the music of a fading night.
Tick, tock, the cradle still rocks.
And in the silence, my mind, so tired...
Sleeps.
