Remorse

A Poem

Why is it easy to return to this habit, all it does is crush, just for a quick and bitter rush?

hurting our loved ones, it's torture to our spirituality, but we chalk it up as apart of humanity.

The cause of it may simply be ignorance, or it can be a lack of self control.

There is still no justification, no good reason; there's better for us we can believe in.

Tears stream down the face of loved ones cheeks, and remorse overpowers speech.

We tend at times to even point blame, deep down inside we still hold the shame.

Nothing sweet about remorse, all we can do is let it run its course.

Hopefully after we learn our lesson, we hold dear to us the hearts we keep in close possession.
