As you stare in the mirror I watch your reflection
Fabulously flawed, pure and uncut
Original, but yet so different; buried in your own uniqueness
I try to see thru you, but like stained glass it's hard to scope
So I envision what's within; magnified with hopes to brake the barrier
An untouched soul, sound spirit with a tamed heart
Unbothered by the chaotic world, yet the chaos within shakes you
Broken like glass but mended by strength
My admiration grows fonder from your mystery and untold history
Eager to hear the story of the man in the mirror

Pints & Parkruns: Jubilee, Spennymoor
If MC Escher created a parkrun, it might look a bit like Jubilee. Based in a compact – but surprisingly lovely – park in the small County Durham town of Spennymoor, it twists and turns its way up repeated hills. Although basic physics says it must come down again, somehow this route never feels like it gives runners a proper descent.
