Recovery

I'm sorry I'm like this.

I'm writing this over green tea Hoping you like the taste of this poem

You move like the words I wish I could write

Better than the best of dreams

I don't have a religion

but if I did it would be your eyes

Don't go searching for angels

Because you're the most graceful one

Heaven is within your gaze

I want to give you every meter of my love

But

I cannot...

What does pain taste like to you?

We search for the answers in short silences

A remedy never found

I give you my soul in small doses

In fear that you'll leave

I will no longer be a whole woman

My method hasn't saved me yet

Each dose gets smaller

Until I run out of doses to give

It gets harder and harder for me to brew the potion

On every occasion, love isn't received

We focus on the weak

Ignoring the perfervid

We forget to appreciate what little we have

Right

This is why I love you

Your perfectly spiraled Moreno cool hair brings me back

In touch with what is and what's to be valued

The hugs, the laughs, the tears!

It's all part of the journey we chose for each other,

Ourselves, both scared

Leaped into this fountain of passions

Ignoring the caution tape

Everything worthwhile in life

Takes the thing we never have enough of

Time.

I'm finding my remedy in patience.
