Reckless Beauty

And the Heartache

Tears fall from this cheek of mine

Where words never do quite rhyme

People whisper behind my back

I just blend into the background all dressed in black

Little confused girl, where she lives, she's so alone

In this big confused world, she sins, Nobody's home.

Close the curtain the show is over

Lingers on with no constant closure

Pretty reckless with strings of loud protest

I fall onto my knees darling where it's there that I confess

Big empty soul, where she hides, she's so cold

Heartache that's hard to let go, she collides, She's made of gold

Minted pillow with the smell that lingers on

Heartache reminders of things that went wrong

Bow their heads with fake smiles on their faces

Tiny lies living in this town with such unfamiliar places

Queen without her crown, she falls, she falls apart

Where there's no sound, She calls, She breaks her heart

Twirls around in her satin yellow dress

Where she prays for happiness and nothing less

Twinkle in that forever innocent eyes

Where everybody betrays while they spit out their lies

Just a fool, where she moves, she knows

Always cruel, She has no clue, she wants to go

The sheets that she lays upon beneath her skin

Where she falls asleep knowing who she is within

The spark that lights on bright between the night

Where fools they laugh thinking they were right

Always tainted, she's broken, she needs a hand

Always hated, She's hoping, She wants someone to understand
