Hello my love,
How do you find this world,
It's older than you,
Slightly worn,
Roughly used,
But your eyes make it brand new,
It's reborn every time,
I call her Rain,
So much beauty tucked into misery,
You ain't got a thing to fear,
Just shelter in me,
I've never been a religious man,
But slowly I'm coming to understand,
Sins of the father,
Redeemed by the daughter,
Evil overwhelmed by a big love,
Eyes I've yet to see,
So I seek to be clean,
Ready for my Rain,
And so two kingdoms claim this humble man’s heart,
One for the fire,
One for the rain,
Immortalizing my reign,
In a culmination I never hoped to achieve,
This broken crown held in place by such delicate hands,
We wait for the Rain.
About the Creator
Word Smyth
I like to write. I never know where words will take me, or what discoveries I will make along the way. I've never shared my writing, it's very personal. Well, here is where I take the leap.
