Prince Charming

Tell me you're not prince charming,

when you're all I need and more.

Tell me you don't sweep me off my feet,

when you see me soaring.

Tell me you're not prince charming,

when I see the worry in your eyes.

Worries that I may be unhappy in the slightest.

Tell me that you're not that great,

while you pray to God silently.

Tell me how that is possible when,

you can pull the words out of me,

the words I usually fail to speak.

You always tell me how amazing, talented, beautiful I am,

but it is you.

You are the one, not me.

You're not afraid to share your dreams.

You want to grow, yet please everyone.

Tell me you're not prince charming,

when I am in tears of joy from your gentleness.

Not once have you made me cry.

Not once have you lied.

Tell me I haven't struck gold,

when you never get angry with me.

When you put up with my moody spells,

or look at me with those eyes.

Tell me your not prince charming,

when you treat me so well.

Tell me you're not prince charming,

when I am struck under your spell.
