Poetry Punch

I Sigh.

Every ongoing day gives a new reason to cry.

I see the news, there's no way so many people die.

Failing so many tests, why do I even try?

Life is a mess and I'm just asking why.

But these people don't care, they just listen to I spy.

If I open up my mouth, they just want to criticize.

So I chose not to speak, and you want to call me shy?

All you bystanders, listen, and open up your eyes!

The earth is getting worse, people getting more sly.

Too much violence, corruption, dirty language flying by.

Our planet is perishing, we'll have to say goodbye.

You want to throw a punch? Well I'm throwing out this line:

If all you care about is selfies, well I guess that's alright,

That is, if you'd like reality to come and leave a bite.

Deciding to ignore? It is your life,

just remember it will be gone in due time.

We're living right now. Yes, we. You and I.

You've got beef? Situations? Well it's time to make them right.

We can't change the whole world, but we can change what we'd like.

Here's a suggestion: start on the inside.
