Poetry
We all need something to remind us of how precious our lives are. This is my reminder...
Poetry is my reprieve; it can encapsulate the emotions that other forms of expression glide over. It has the capacity to inspire, to intrigue, and to alleviate stress and pain.
These are a couple of my poems. The titles could do with improvement but I hope you enjoy them.
It's the little things.
It's the rain that dances upon rooftops, And the wind that flows around trees. It's the leaves that shadow the rippling grass, And the crisp air that puts you at ease.
It's the quaint sunsets that burn in the sky, And the moon that streaks through the sea. It's the stars that bring peace to the dark'ning night, And the Earth with its stories to see.
Journey
The arrow of time pushes us forwards. Our bodies, our minds, But feelings still haunt us.
The journey still winds, through plains and through gorges. Still taking it's time, As memories haunt us.
The fate we decide experience causes. Throughout all our lives, Our choices will haunt us.
About the Creator
Charlotte Gray
I love writing to escape from the world, but also to share my experiences of our society.
When I'm not writing or daydreaming, I'm watching movies or reading a book.
