Alone

I'm surrounded. Surrounded by many, many people. People who continue to converse, they seem happy. Knowing in which what to say, laughing and joking. The atmosphere is fun and bright. They make an attempt to include me, but their chose topics confuse me. I am surrounded by people but, yet, I feel alone.

I am alone, nothing and no one. All there is, is music and books. Just me and fiction. No one to converse with but the characters of a story, and yet, I do not feel so alone. The words in the song and the dialogue of the story surround me. They blanket me in an unknown warmth, making me feel not so alone.

Falling

Falling, I'm falling and there is no end. Falling down, down into a black never ending abyss. I've been falling for so long that I have become numb. I feel nothing, I see nothing, all there is, is black. I'm beginning to believe there is no end, that I will continue to fall, and there will be nothing to catch me. To stop me from falling.
