Poems from a Teen

School Halls

Wake up

Deep breath

One.. Two.. Three

My shoes they will slip and slide pulling me to the ground

But if I try and tie my laces in these crowded halls

The boy that I claim to love just might see me fall

Bus

Slow down

No need to rush

Who even cares if you miss the bus

Mama is gone

Father too

No one is there to help you

Crush

Dark eyes

Light hair

A voice that fills the room

If I told you “I love you”

Would I be a total fool

Would you laugh at me with your friends

While I sink into my chair

Now I can finally see

Your not the crush for me

Break up

Salty tears

Chapped lips

Angry thoughts in my mind

Why would you push me off my happiness

Now I am gloomy

And slightly just a bitch

Because you took away all my happiness
